Outstanding Poster Award 2020

The goal of this poster award is to foster the clear communication of scientific content also to non-specialists of the presented topic; thus the emphasis of the evaluation will be put on the attractiveness of the graphical representation and on the clarity of the text. Only posters which satisfy the communication criteria will be taken into consideration for the evaluation from a scientific point of view.

Communication criteria:

• Attractive graphical representation
• Clear and concise text
• Intuitive structure

Scientific aspects:

• Scientific quality
• Potential impacts of the results
• Innovativeness of the approach

The author(s) receive one registration fee waiver for the EMS Annual 2021, and the posters are highlighted on the EMS website as example of Best Practice.

A selection committee of five senior scientists is established each year.

Regulations for the Poster Award at EMS2020

1) Participation:

To participate in the poster award competition authors need to tick the relevant box during abstract submission.

2) Eligibility:

• Authors have to be first author AND presenting author AND contact author of the relevant abstract.
• Authors have to be present at the EMS2020.
• Authors can participate with exactly 1 poster.
